We had such a great time collaborating with Marcus Wiley on our Free Union Belt that we decided to team up again to make another one. This time around we created The Millington, a belt that is a bit dressier than our last and comes in three colors – Black, Brown, and Cognac. The Millington is the latest release of The Commonwealth Collection, a range of accessories made in collaboration with artisans from our home state of Virginia. The belts were crafted entirely by hand out of English bridle leather by Marcus at his horse farm on the outskirts of Charlottesville. Marcus uses the basement of his cottage as a workshop which is located just off of Millington Road, which you’ve guessed it, serves as the belts’ namesake. The featured curves of the buckle cast by our friend Joe Rhames, who we collaborated with on our cufflinks, create a unique depth and motion to the metal unlike anything else that’s out there. We used brass for the buckles of the Black and Cognac belts and the buckles for the Brown were formed out of white bronze, which will develop a natural patina unique to each wearer. Although this is a dress belt, it’s completely versatile and looks as great when paired with denim as it does with slacks. Marcus is a true craftsman and has become a close friend of ours over the past few years. We love working with him and the design of his belts are truly one of a kind. The Millington Belts are now available, shop now.
