mail_image_preview-5 mail_image_preview-4 mail_image_preview mail_image_preview-2winstonchurchill-719827 Just in time to combat these shorter days and cooler evenings, we are pleased to introduce our winter overcoats. The car coat is nearly as old as the Model T itself. They were originally worn while driving in open cars, which could get frigid after dark or when traveling at high speeds. We designed our Wright and Powell overcoats in classic car coat styling, each featuring a single-breasted 3-button closure, notch lapels, single vent, and the length falls to the mid-thigh. The Wright Overcoat is available in navy twill, and the Powell is available in brown herringbone and navy herringbone. We constructed our Navy Wright Twill overcoat from a luxurious blend of cashmere and wool, and the Powell overcoats were constructed from 100% virgin wool. Similarly to our blazers, the fit of the overcoat is far from boxy but not too slim. We recommend pairing the coats with any of our V-neck sweaters for a sophisticated look. Throughout his life, Winston Churchill was rarely spotted outside during the winter without an overcoat. Here’s a picture of a young Winston Churchill looking exceptionally debonair on his wedding day sporting this classic coat. When bundling up this season, take a note from Sir Winston’s book, but consider leaving the top hat at home. Shop our overcoats and blazers here.
