What do you do and what do you find most rewarding about it?
The million-dollar question, right?! Having stepped out on my own nearly a year and a half ago, the world of entrepreneurship and what your daily work looks like can change so much. The biggest project I have is hosting and producing a podcast, Ever Forward Radio. This platform is the most rewarding for me because it connects me to world-class authors, leaders, and industry experts in the health, wellness, and entrepreneurship worlds. These conversations and relationships continuously mentor me and help me get better at my craft each and every day.
What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?
To run faster and do more push-ups, hahaha! My 20-year-old self was still active duty in the Army and really wanted to max out his physical fitness test! But in general, a piece of advice I would hope to pass back would be to simply feel. I went through so much growth and so much pain, total honesty, in my early 20's that I became too guarded with my own emotions and did not allow myself to fully feel and process life that I wound up keeping so much of it bottled up. Sad, happy, love, grief... whatever the sensation was I wish I would have allowed myself to 100% feel it, process it, and learn life's lesson for me during that time.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness, wow... that can look like a lot of different things for me. A great workout, a walk with my wife through the city full of good conversation and laughing, a fresh local cold brew... I would say that perfect happiness for me is being able to look around at whatever I am doing, wherever it may be, with the people that matter most to me and see nothing but happiness in their state of being. I whole-heartedly enjoy nothing more than knowing that my closest friends and family are fulfilled, happy, and truly loving this day, this moment. But sipping a cold brew during all of this doesn't hurt either!
