George Hodson moved back to Virginia to take part in the family business in 2012. Since then, he's grown a wonderful passion for the wine industry and the Blue Ridge region of Virginia. Now CEO of Veritas Vineyard & Winery, we sat down with him over a glass of wine to hear his refreshing take on perfect happiness.

If you weren't operating a vineyard, what would you be doing?

I would like to say that I would be in the woods and managing a piece of property that I loved, but realistically I would be just another person working too hard for a corporation that didn't care about me or my family

What advice would you give your 20 year old self?

Marry her. It will be the best decision you ever make.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I live my life by the saying that "Happiness in life is not getting what you want, but wanting what you get." So my perfect happiness is not based on where I am or what I am doing but pausing long enough to reflect on how grateful I am for what I have.
