These pants look great and are high quality. They have a higher rise than typical chinos, which makes them look and feel more like dress pants. I usually wear a 28" or 29" inseam, but with these the 28" inseam I ordered ended up being longer than I expected and I had to get them altered. They have a rougher feel to them probably due to the 25% linen and are certainly more rigid than suit pants, which could be expected for a chino, but I expected less rigidity and more softness/flow as these were called "dress" chinos when I ordered them but the name has since been changed.
Overall I like them a lot but there are a few things I wish I could change. Mainly, these pants are quite tight around the calves. I will acknowledge that I probably have slightly larger calves than average (short people tend to have large calves), but this is still tighter on my calves than any of my other pants (suit pants, chinos, or otherwise). I think the pockets are situated slightly more forward than in typical dress pants and as a result you can see the white lining of the pockets when standing. I haven't made up my mind whether I like that you can see this white lining, but my initial thought was that I would have preferred if it was a similar color to the pants.
Overall I like the pants and really hope that Ledbury makes more varieties that wear more like dress pants (softer, smoother, and more flow compared to the more rigid chino style). I really hope Ledbury introduces some dress pants and…
