How to Measure


Find a shirt that fits your body well and get ready to measure

01. Neck Size

Measure body, not shirt. 

Measure the circumference of your neck with two fingers between your neck and the measuring tape for a comfortable fit. Make sure that the angle of the measuring tape follows the direction a collar would naturally sit on your neck and falls under the Adam's apple. 

02. Sleeve Length

With your shirt still buttoned, flip it over so it faces down. Start by measuring from the center of the neck at the base of the collar seam. From that point, extend the measuring tape down the sleeve all the way to the end of the cuff. This is your sleeve length measurement. No need to add for shrinkage - we've done that for you. If you are between sizes, go with the longer of your possible measurements.

03. Shirt Chest

Make sure your shirt is buttoned and lay it flat. Measure from the armhole at the side seam across to the other side. Multiply that number by 2 to get the shirt chest measurement.

04. Shirt Waist

With your shirt laid flat, measure across the side seam of the the slimmest part of the shirt (which should be about halfway between the armhole and the hem). Multiply that number by 2 to get the shirt waist measurement.

05. Front Body Length

With your shirt facing up and laid flat, measure down the center of the front of the shirt. Start where the collar meets the placket (where the buttons are sewn on) and measure down to the bottom seam. That length is your front body length measurement.

06. Back Length

Lay your shirt flat, facing down. Start from the center of the back of the collar, where the collar band meets the neck seam. Measure down the back center of the shirt all the way to the bottom of the hem. That measurement is your shirt back body length.

Polo Fit Guide

Slim Fit is cut closer to the body, designed for those who prefer a narrower cut. We recommend Slim Fit for those who wear our Extra Slim and Tailored Fit shirts. Regular Fit is a roomier cut, which we recommend for those who wear our Contemporary and Classic Fit shirts. 

If you purchased a polo before April 2024, it is a Regular Fit.

Button Cuff enables you to adjust the wrist fit to accommodate a watch. 
              
French Cuffs are designed to be worn with cufflinks (cufflinks not included)

Ledbury Shirt Body Lengths

  • Tucked in (Regular Body) is a longer tail designed to be worn tucked in for men of any height.
  • Untucked, 5'10" and Over (Short Body) is recommended for men over 5'10" tall who would like to wear their shirt untucked. 
  • Untucked, 5'9" and Under (Extra Short Body) is recommended for men under 5'9" tall who would like to wear their shirt untucked.

How to Measure

      Wearing this shirt currently for the first time on a business trip and feel compelled to leave a review. Yes, it’s a pricey shirt, it took some effort to steam and press to smooth it out from its packaging creases but once done it’s apparent how high quality the shirt is. It drapes perfectly, surprisingly naturally wrinkle resistant. You’ll feel great while wearing this shirt, it feels amazing on the skin and the slight sheen is incredibly elegant and subtle.

      Best Dress Shirt,..... and it's not even close.

      The feel, the size, the style, it is all good. It feels amazing, unlike any dress shirt I have ever worn. The fabric makes it extremely comfortable, and the style and sizing give you confidence like no other.

      I accidentally ordered the wrong collar, but the customer service was top notch. I returned the shirt and got a new one with the correct collar for free, which was awesome.

      Also, this might help any short guys like me. I am 5 foot 1, 130 pounds, athletic and muscular, and the smallest size of everything fit better than clothing from companies that are specifically made for short men. Just select the smallest, slimmest size with the extra short untucked body option, and it will fit pretty darn good, better than 99.99 percent of places out there.

      I am a Marine, so I tailor everything to be perfect, and my tailor did not have to do much to the shirt to make it perfect. You cannot beat the quality and the unique style for the price. It is unbelievable value for the best of the best.

      Beautiful shirt, great customer service

      This is my new favorite white dress shirt. It can be difficult to find white shirts that are not transparent, but this is nicely opaque without the fabric being too thick and heavy. The details are impeccable and it looks like it costs twice the price. An investment to be sure, but the value is there.

      For reference, I'm 5' 11.5" and about 170-175 lbs. I found the tailored to be too tight around the stomach but the Contemporary was perfect, and aligns with what most American brands would probably call a "slim fit".

      Great Shirt!!

      Just received my shirt from Ledbury and I must say that the Thomas Mason Carlyle Shirt is Indeed one of the best shirts I have ever owned. The shirt is so soft and comfortable. You can tell that this is a very high quality immediately. I have been wearing custom shirts for a while now and this is my first from Ledbury but will not be my last and I have to say this is made really well. I went with a contemporary fit and they nailed it. No excess material in the sleeves which I have found quite common even with custom shirting. I really am impressed with the Giza Fine Twill. The only reason that I am giving this shirt a 4-star review instead of 5 is because of the buttons. I would like to see a higher quality mother of pearl button on this level shirt. A thicker mother of pearl button would be more appropriate for this level of quality fabric.
