Those of you who've been to any of our events (think Ledbury Hunt/Gather, parties in the store or just a pop-up happy hour), may recognize Mattias and the guy behind the bar serving up the perfect cocktail for the occasion. You may also know him as the the former co-owner and bartender of Heritage, one of Richmond's most popular restaurants. Earlier this year, Mattias started a new venture and opened up The Jasper, a cocktail bar that has quickly gotten the attention of cocktail connoisseurs across the country.
If you weren’t a bar owner, what would you be?
I’d love to figure out another craft one day; metal or woodworking, something hands-on that I can obsess over.What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?

I think some combination of stay-at-home dad where I also get paid to fish and hike for a living. Though someone, somewhere probably already is getting paid for that through Instagram somehow.
