As First Vice President / Wealth Management at The Lindbloom Group, our friend Ethan Lindbloom enjoys the challenges of an ever-changing investment landscape. Also an avid cyclist, Ethan co-founded Outpost Richmond, a bike shop and market in Richmond's Westover Hills neighborhood. Their mission is to cultivate and support local partnerships as well as promote healthy living. We catch up with him for this week's installment of 3 Questions.

If you weren’t a financial advisor, what would you be doing?

I would be learning how to brew beer and working at Outpost Richmond.

What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?

The same advice my father gave me (which took a long time to sink in): Your two assets are time and money, and time is MUCH more valuable.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

I don’t know about perfection, but I’m pretty happy now. My most profound hopes involve my daughters growing up to be caring, compassionate, and generous adults (many years from now). I am happiest when those closest to me are happy and successful. Or I could just say finishing a long bike ride in the mountains and rehydrating with a good local beer makes me very happy…
