In the spirit of collaboration and seizing the opportunity to work with another Paul (we have three in our office), we teamed up with Mr. Paolo Sala for our first collection of swimwear. After months in the making, we are proud to announce the release of our Hilliard Swim Trunk. Paolo is the owner of TCS Fabrics, a second-generation fabric mill located in the hills of Lake Como, Italy. In addition to excelling in printed fabrics and knowledge of textiles, their office space is unlike any we’ve ever seen. Paolo’s office is decorated with photographs of Elvis and old school movie stars, there’s a room full of vintage radios and a huge wall stacked with Coke and Diet Coke cans that form a peace sign. Eccentric? Maybe a little, but we understand the importance of keeping the office interesting. During one of our visits with Paolo, we were talking about prints and fabrics and somehow landed on the subject of swimsuits. We’ve always had trouble finding a pair of classic trunks, so in collaboration with Paolo, we set out to make the perfect pair. For ours, we focused on length (resting slightly above the knee), fit (not too baggy, not too slim), and the ability to dry quickly – so we used 100% nylon. We’ve also included a tie waistband, side pockets lined with mesh, and a small pocket for keys. Our Hilliard Swim Trunk is available in red, light blue, navy, green and pink. Shop the collection.
