Hello,
It had been several years since my last Ledbury purchase, but I still own a flannel shirt I bought over a decade ago that looks as good today as the day I bought it. That level of quality is exactly what motivated me to order a couple of dress shirts recently.
I was traveling to Florida for a holiday trip and needed shirts for a few evenings out. I packed them without even trying them on—that’s how confident I was in the Ledbury brand.
On the afternoon of the event, I opened the blue shirt, gave it a light press, and put it on. The fit was excellent. However, a few hours into the evening, the cuff on the left sleeve began digging into my wrist. When I unbuttoned the cuff and felt the backside of the button, I noticed a hard, rough nub—what feels like plastic rather than the usual stitched thread securing the button.
I’ll take the shirt to a tailor and have the button properly sewn, which should resolve the issue. I love the look and feel of the shirt, but I can’t give it a five-star review due to this detail.
Thanks,
Steve
