Oysters and Editorials
I have got to say that I was very pleased to see Richmond profiled in the latest issue of Garden Gun (also nice to have the Free Union Belt as a runner up for the Made in the South Awards). The article spoke to the Richmond Renaissance. Something we are a big believers in and something that we hope Ledbury is contributing to in a small way.
We also believe in oysters, bluegrass and large outdoor parties so we were very pleased to be invited out to the Garden and Gun’s “Richmond City Portrait Oyster Roast.” On a near perfect Sunday afternoon we took the Ledbury extended family and headed out to Elsing Green Plantation. A humble 2,200 acre estate on the banks of the Pamunkey River, about 30 minutes east of Richmond.
We could not have had a better afternoon. Lots of friends from around the State, lots of oysters from the Rappahannock River Oysters brothers, and bluegrass from The Fox Hunt. A pretty civilized way to spend the day before heading back in on Monday to officially start off the New Year.
